Busted: Knowing When To Walk Away

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

A person is not going to win everything that they try, it’s just not in the cards, no pun intended. If everyone always won, there would be zero casinos out there, as they all would be out of business already. With this evident, a person will need to know when they should walk a way, and it doesn’t matter if a person is actually winning or losing. The benefits of walking away are obvious, a person doesn’t want to lose, and unfortunately, eventually a person will lose some money, some more than others. Walking away is one of the hardest things that a person can do in life, especially when it comes to gambling. Understandably, walking away during a “hot streak” is even harder, but even still encouraged.

Of course, it’s always best to walk away when a person is on top, as everything that they have is all profit. But, most of the time, people generally are faced with the decision to walk away when they’re down. Human nature is to keep trying to pull themselves out of the hole, and as we know, this generally gets a person into more trouble. It’s easy for a person to buy some chips, but no one wants to do it when they’re down. They simply will not make the best decisions, and they’ll continue to drown themselves in their debt. It’s not needed, and shouldn’t happen to people who have any knowledge about how gambling works.
